Emma Seymour
Emma Seymour is a military spouse, mother of four, and a relentless advocate for the military-connected community, not because it's her profession, but because it's her life.
With over 20 years of experience in communications, marketing, and program management, Emma has spent her career at the intersection of people and systems, connecting programs, building partnerships, and making sure the right resources reach the right hands. She has directed marketing initiatives with major international brands including John Deere, Scania, Suzuki, Mitsubishi, and Yanmar, led national workforce development campaigns, and worked in tandem with regional, state, and local nonprofits. Across every sector she has worked in, the through line has always been the same, building bridges between people and the programs that can enhance lives.
But Emma's commitment to the military-connected community goes far beyond her professional work. As a long-term military spouse, she has navigated the very systems she now works to improve, from the complexities of TRICARE to advocating fiercely for her child on the spectrum, ensuring her family accessed every service, support, and opportunity they deserved. She knows firsthand what it takes to find your footing inside a system that wasn't built for everyone, and she knows what's possible when someone helps you find the door.
That lived experience is the foundation of MIL-CO First. Emma built this organization because she has been the military spouse sitting across the table, not knowing where to start, she's worked with the transitioning service members who are navigating through multiple networks and few warm connections, she's advocated for the Veterans who needed wraparound services but didn't know where to look. She saw a need for change.
